Chatburn CC

Welcome to Chatburn C.C.

The ground is located off Sawley Road, Chatburn in Lancashire's beautiful Ribble Valley with views over Grindleton Fell to the north and Pendle Hill in the south.
The club was formed in 1923 and although no records still exist going back to the formation a minute book is retained dating back to January 1940.

In 1991 the club won the C&DCL second division and were promoted to the first division. This success was short lived and relegation unfortunately followed the very next season. The club has remained in the second division since. The only success the second eleven attained was winning promotion to the third division in 1998. At the end of the 2005 season the 1st eleven were relegated to the third division despite winning the last three games of the season.
In 2006 the first eleven bounced back to the second division after winning the third division at the first attempt.
At the end of the 2007 season the second eleven regained a spot in the fourth division.
At the beginning of 2009 season the former Downham Drakes, now known as the Drakes and playing at Chatburn joined the club, playing Village cricket at home on Thursday nights.
The club also formed a Junior section. The club will field an Under Thirteen side in the Ribbledale League Junior Section during 2012
